About

Our story

Alexandra’s Dance School was created to give young girls a beautiful, low-pressure first introduction to ballet. Classes are small, encouraging, and designed around the way children this age actually learn — through play, rhythm, and imagination.

Every dancer performs in the Spring Recital, and along the way we celebrate the small wins: first arabesque, first pirouette, first time standing alone on stage.

My prayer for this ballet school is to take the beauty, honor, and courage the Lord has given me and bestow it to these little girls through a positive and memorable dance experience. Alexandra Donaldson, Director

Director

Alexandra Donaldson

My name is Alexandra Donaldson. You can call me Alex! I am an Aggie who has loved living and serving in this community for the last ten years. Along with starting this little ballet school, I also helped start the Pre-K program at Oakwell Academy and teach there. My prayer for this ballet school is to take the beauty, honor, and courage the Lord has given me and bestow it to these little girls through a positive and memorable dance experience. I hope it blesses you and your family as much as it blesses me!

How we teach

Our approach

We believe the first years of dance should be joyful. Our classes blend basic ballet technique with rhythm games, imaginative movement, and plenty of encouragement. By the end of the year, each class has prepared a short dance for the Spring Recital — a proud, memorable finish to the season.
